La vendetta / L'incarico
The news arrives that Carmine Tonnara, convicted of mafia, has died in prison. His father Vito Tonnara swears revenge on his son's grave against the architect of his conviction: Commissioner Giovanna Scalise. It is a new threat that looms over our protagonist just when it seems that a new life is beginning for her thanks to her love story with Inspector Walter Manrico, which Giovanna confesses only to her mother. The mechanic Lorenzi gives two criminals the codes of the anti-theft devices he installs on cars on behalf of a dealership: he needs money to treat his wife who has a serious heart condition. A stolen car hits a girl in front of a homeless man. The rush to the hospital turns out to be useless, but Elisa, who is registered as a donor, can save another life. With her parents' consent, her heart is removed and fate has it that it is Lorenzi's wife, who has been waiting for years for a new heart.
Fino all'ultimo respiro / Innocenza violata
Saro is the new bartender, replacing Paula at the bar near the District. Vito Tonnara teaches him how to shoot. At Scalise's house, her mother Caterina and daughter Livia talk about Giovanna's new love and decide to overcome their embarrassment by inviting Manrico to dinner. The new elite agent Valeria Ruggero (Cristina Moglia) arrives at the District. Ugo, who confides in Ingargiola his worries because he is behind on his mortgage payments, is fascinated by his new colleague. A child is approached by a man, but manages to escape his attentions. Matteo's mother reports the incident to the Precinct and Commissioner Scalise immediately alerts his men. Roberto Ardenzi and Valeria discover that another child in the neighborhood, Tobia, has also been the victim of molestation, but the mother had not reported the incident and is reluctant to subject her son to the police's questions. A new report of pickpocketing arrives at the Precinct, this time Fast Boy has hit two Japanese tourists.
Uno strano sequestro / Sotto tiro
Giovanna Scalise is busy with inspectors Manrico and Mauro Belli solving the strange case of a girl's kidnapping, while Luca and Valeria are on the trail of a thief who strikes in a cinema. In the meantime, Ugo improvises as a computer expert, making Parmesan despair. Roberto and Angela are worried about little Maura who is ill. Those who are plotting to kill Scalise have an unexpected stroke of luck. Saro, increasingly under pressure from Vito Tonnara, begins to prepare the ambush... Mauro and Roberto, called to investigate a scam, discover with surprise that the robbed person is their elementary school teacher. Once the case is solved, they recall their school years with her and the teacher reveals funny details about them. Meanwhile, Manrico and Valeria are busy with a case involving a psychiatrist and one of his patients in the throes of a fit of rage.
Ore disperate / Colpevole o innocente
Commissioner Scalise, unconscious on the ground after being hit by Saro, is rushed to the hospital, it would seem all lost for Giovanna and the child she is carrying... but a bulletproof vest, which the commissioner has decided to wear all the time since she knew she was pregnant, has worked a miracle. Manrico, to the amazement and anger of his colleagues and friends, is stopped and interrogated by the DIA as a presumed accomplice of the attacker. Vito Tonnara advises Saro to disappear from circulation for a while, Saro is terrified of what he has done. Giovanna leaves the hospital as soon as she recovers to go to the DIA and intervene in defense of Manrico. To everyone's amazement she declares that Manrico cannot be guilty of complicity in the attack because he is the father of her child. Manrico is speechless.

Maddalena, Parmesan's niece, is found in a confused state outside a nightclub by Luca and Valeria, who are on patrol. She is rushed to the hospital, and it turns out that she is under the effects of a powerful drug and in danger of death. The entire District mobilizes to find those responsible for the incident, investigating the nightclub and the faculty attended by Maddalena. The District is busy with a murder case, the only witness is an autistic boy. While Giovanna, Manrico and Mauro investigate, Angela tries to communicate with the boy to get some clues. Roberto and Luca, on the other hand, are busy unmasking a magician's scam. Giovanna and Manrico, after the dramas and tensions, finally manage to clear things up and find their intimacy again. Both participate in the meeting of all the colleagues to organize the search for whoever attempted to kill Scalise.

Giovanna and her men are busy searching for the perpetrator of the attack she escaped. His identity is discovered: it is Saro. In the meantime Roberto discovers that his girlfriend is Laura and follows her. Her home is also identified and searched. The circle tightens... Meanwhile, the police station is dealing with a case of sexual harassment by a so-called agency that selects TV showgirls. Valeria responds to the ad and shows up for the audition, the true intentions of the "selectors" are immediately evident and Manrico and other officers rush to her aid, stopping the molesters. Manrico tries to convince Giovanna to take a break, she is hesitant. The police station is dealing with a delicate case of kidnapping and blackmail of a bank manager, whose daughter is held hostage. For Mauro there are surprises, Paula is finally back, but the girl reacts badly to the fact that Tiberio has moved in with Mauro.
Chinatown (prima parte) / Chinatown (seconda parte)
The 10th Tuscolano is dealing with a case involving the Chinese community of the capital and requiring environmental wiretaps and long shadowing involving all of Scalise's men. It seems that the owner of a Chinese restaurant has been kidnapped. On this occasion, Manrico and Mauro use technical means to continue their investigations on Saro, putting his girlfriend, Laura, under surveillance. Luca is preparing his resignation letter. However, the advanced pregnancy and the doctor's recommendations force Giovanna to follow the case from the police station, under the watchful eye of Manrico, who is very apprehensive. The Chinese case turns out to be much more complex than expected, it is a real internal war between two mafia families with mysterious and disturbing implications. Meanwhile Luca and Valeria are dealing with a scam by a skilled door-to-door salesman, while their colleagues think of a farewell gift for Luca.

In a studio, Marico and Valeria discover the body of a photographer and near the body they find some red sequins. The investigation leads the two police officers to the home of a young couple, where they find the incriminating sequin dress: the two boys killed the photographer to rob him of a batch of marijuana. In the precinct Valeria realizes that she is not very loved by her colleagues and vents her anger with Giovanna. Sofia is a Romanian girl who was attacked. Vittoria and Mauro discover that behind the attack is a man who extorted fifteen million from the girl for a marriage that would give her Italian citizenship and thanks to the investigations, a real criminal organization also comes to light. Meanwhile in the district, Giovanna decides that Valeria would be perfect to meet Laura, Saro's girlfriend. Valeria, thanks to a stratagem, manages to meet Laura and, thanks to a series of clues, also discovers where the girl meets Saro.
Faccia a faccia / Resa dei conti
A dramatic story of jealousy involves two young people: long engaged, he does not accept the end of the love, and above all jealousy blinds him; the girl after some initial signs of violence from her ex reports him to the police of the district, but then reconsidering withdraws the complaint: this unfortunately will cost her life: her ex discovers her with her new lover stabs her; desperate he will attempt suicide but this time the officers will stop him. Giovanna confronts Saro, Manrico is close to her. Scalise would like to convince the boy to collaborate but to no avail. Saro and Laura are being watched. They want to escape and the girl, having learned from her boyfriend the whole truth about the attack, would still like to stay with him and escape; but Saro, having arrived at Laura's, is surprised by his future executioner: Vito Tonnara who kills him in cold blood in front of Laura and then escapes from the precinct officers.
Pablo il gitano (prima parte) / Pablo il gitano (seconda parte)
Pablo the "Gitano" gets four days leave from Rebibbia prison and, in the company of his woman, steals a luxury sedan that he exchanges for a gun from a fence to rob a jewelry store. Mauro recognizes the robber following the jeweler's complaint: he was a childhood friend of his, Paolo Acerri, known as Pablo the Gitano. The boys of the district are now busy capturing him. Giovanna understands that she has become a personal target of Vito Tonnara who wants her dead to avenge the death of his son. Mauro and Valeria finally manage to find Pablo the "Gitano"'s hideout, but with Mauro in handcuffs, he manages to escape with a hostage. Only later, after a tight chase, will the police be able to catch the criminal. Tonnara is in Rome and Scalise finds out about this. Meanwhile, Ingargiola forces Vittoria's criminal boyfriend to leave her alone: she is desperate.

But one thing will surprise everyone: the thief and Roberto's best friend are two lookalikes. Meanwhile Angela and Roberto are preparing to celebrate their anniversary and have the same idea for the gift: they want to treat themselves to a car and both ask Mauro for advice. Professor Monti is on the terrace of a building in the throes of a suicidal crisis. Angela, who happens to be in the courtyard of this building, wants to help the man in the throes of a crazy crisis. Having reached the professor, everything seems under control when, a sudden and unexpected gesture surprises Angela who falls into the void in front of the eyes of her husband Roberto who is holding their daughter.

Sofia is a Romanian girl who was attacked. Vittoria and Mauro discover that behind the attack is a man who extorted fifteen million from the girl for a marriage that would give her Italian citizenship and thanks to the investigations, a real criminal organization also comes to light. Meanwhile in the district, Giovanna decides that Valeria would be perfect to meet Laura, Saro's girlfriend. Valeria, thanks to a stratagem, manages to meet Laura and, thanks to a series of clues, also discovers where the girl meets Saro: the place is a second-hand shop where the district agents will be able to arrest the attacker of Scalise. Finally, the reason that has put the relationship between Mauro and Paula in crisis seems to be the presence of Mauro's father, Tiberio, who lives in the house with them.

Saro and Laura are being watched. They want to escape and the girl, having learned from her boyfriend the whole truth about the attack, would still like to stay with him and escape; but Saro, having arrived at Laura's, is surprised by his future executioner: Vito Tonnara who kills him in cold blood in front of Laura and then escapes from the precinct officers. Later, Laura at the police station finally manages to identify Tonnara by giving a face to Scalise's persecutor. Meanwhile, in the precinct, Luca, following some investigations connected to a dog found at the end of its life, has discovered that a dog breeder is actually a crook who organizes clandestine fights, sending several animals to the slaughterhouse. Finally, Mauro is very angry with Paula who, having accepted the job at the airline as a hostess, must now leave for Milan.
